Send condolences to the Creighton Family Marianne Creighton Marianne Creighton, 67, of Bridgeport, passed away Friday morning, January 25, 2008, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 17, 1940, in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late Peter and Mary Bacak Kopko. She is survived by her only son, Sean Creighton and his companion Allison Stawarz, Morgantown; and many other immediate loved ones and friends. Marianne received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Youngstown State University, and was a college prep English teacher, having taught at Chaney High School, Youngstown, OH, and in the public school systems in Livonia, MI and Long Island, NY. She was an active player with the Bridge Club, an active supporter of the Harrison County Humane Society, and a member of the Newcomers Society and the Clarksburg League for Service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marianne’s memory are requested to the Harrison County Humane Society, Rt. 2, Box 932, Shinnston, WV 26431. Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Tuesday evening from 5 – 7 pm, where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 pm.
