Owners
Arnett R. and Scott P. Burnside are the owners of Burnside Funeral Home.  The funeral home was designed by Arnett's daughter and son-in-law Beth and Massoud Nooralian.  Both Beth and Massoud are architects in the Washington, DC area. 

Arnett previously was employed with Kroger Super Markets and Hope Gas.  He was the owner of the former Burnside Trailer Sales and currently owns the Lakeside Car Wash in Bridgeport.  He was raised in the Wolf Summit area of Clarksburg and graduated from Bristol High School.  He currently resides in Bridgeport and is known as an avid hunter.

Scott is a graduate of Bridgeport High School and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from West Virginia University.  He was previously employed with the accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick in Pittsburgh, PA.  Scott also currently owns the Mountaineer Car Wash in Shinnston, WV and serves as a licensed pre-need counselor and insurance agent.

Licensed Funeral Directors
C. Jason Smith, II
, has served as a Licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer and Pre-Need Counselor for Burnside Funeral Home since September of 2002.  A Marion County native, he graduated from North Marion High School in 1994, attended both West Virginia University and Fairmont State University where he majored Music Education with a percussion specialty,  and finally graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1997.  Jason has held his Pennsylvania Funeral Director's License since September 2000 and his West Virginia Funeral Director's License since September 2002. He currently serves as the Vice President of the West Virginia Funeral Director’s Association, District V.

An active member of his community and his family, Jason lives in Clarksburg with his wife, Celeste, and their two children, Austin Charles & Rylee Dawn. He is an avid West Virginia University sports enthusiast, and his spare time enjoys one his greatest loves - drumming and percussion. He has been a part of orchestras for several broadway shows including The Music Man and Guys and Dolls, and also enjoys playing with area jazz groups.

J. Jimmy Gemondo, II joined the staff at Burnside Funeral Home as a Licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer and Pre-Need Counselor in December 2005.  In 1991, Jimmy graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science as valedictorian of his class. He was most recently the owner of Gemondo Funeral Home in Nutter Fort, WV and has been affiliated with several funeral homes in the area.  He has 17 years experience helping families during their time of need. He serves as a member of the West Virginia D-MORT Disaster Response Team.

Jimmy resides in Shinnston, WV with his wife, Pam, and their three sons, Andrew, Anthony and Alec.  He is a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Shinnston where he serves as a Lector.  Jimmy is also a member of the Knights of Columbus Clarksburg Council #872. He is a very active member of his community, a sports enthusiast and keeps quite busy with his children and their sporting events.

Attendants
 
P. Kackie Renzelli has served as an attendant with Burnside Funeral Home since its opening in 1997.  He and his wife, Ann, are members of All Saints Catholic church in Bridgeport.

Virgil H. Hamilton joined our staff in 2005.  He and his wife June reside in Bridgeport where they are members of the Simpson Creek Baptist Church.  Both also assist with the Shepherd’s Corner ministry.
