Back Send condolences to the Pierce Family
Mindi Jo Wilt Hollandsworth Pierce, 43, of Blackwell Street, Bridgeport, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Monday, December 27, 2010. She was born September 18, 1967, in Coco Solo, Panama, C.Z., a daughter of Richard and Shirley Joan Sirk Wilt, who survived in Bridgeport.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Chris Pierce, whom she married on May 21, 2005.
Also surviving are two sons, Troy and Tyler Hollandsworth, both at home; her brother, Eric Wilt, Clarksburg; three nephews, Johnathan, Joshua and Seth Wilt, Clarksburg; her mother and father-in-law, Benny and Karen Pierce, Clarksburg; two aunts, Barbara Rogers, Dola; and Kitty Counselor, Pittsburgh; and her former mother-in-law, Jean Hollandsworth.
Mindi was a 1985 graduate of Bridgeport High School and received her nursing degree from Fairmont State. She had worked at UHC for over 10 years, including for Dr. Azar, Peoples’ Hospice, and as a surgical nurse in the operating room.
She was an active member of Horizon Church where she was a member of the Worship Team for many years. She was an eBay entrepreneur and Pampered Chef consultant. She also loved music, shopping, cooking, gardening, Facebook, and her dogs Leo and Deli.
She was a very giving person, who continued to give even after her death through CORE.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Thursday from 2-8 pm, where services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010, at 1 pm. Interment will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.
