Delphia O. Lewis Marple, 96, of Jarvisville Road, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2010.  She was born in Braxton County on September 11, 1913, a daughter of the late Ole and Mamie Lewis.

She was married to Edwin R. Marple, Sr., who preceded her in death on May 23, 1981.

She is survived by four sons, Edwin R. Maple, Jr., and his wife Roberta, Salem; Dale D. Marple and his wife Raylene, Nebraska; Oran L. Marple, Sr., and his wife Sharon, Salem; and Eldon C. Marple and his wife Chris, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; her sister Rena Knight of Huntsville, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, a brother, and a grandson.

She was Methodist and was a member of Coplin United Methodist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

 Friends will be received at the Coplin United Methodist Church, Jarvisville Road, on Friday from 4 – 9 pm, and on Saturday from 9 – 11 am.  Services will be held at the church on Saturday, August 28, 2010, at 11 am with Reverend Etheldean Yanero presiding.  Interment will follow in Coplin Cemetery.

Grandma you been the Rock of this family we will miss you very much.   You lived the Christian life and have been an example for Us to see and walk in the Lords shoes. For this you will always will be remembered.  We we Love and will miss you.
