Back Send condolences to the Keefover Family
Joseph Wayne Keefover, 88, passed away Tuesday evening, August 3, 2010, in the Heritage Nursing Home. He was born June 22, 1922, a son of the late George Dent and Lilly Belle Farence Keefover.
He is survived by his sister, Pauline Dahlgren, Fairchance, PA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.
Wayne served in the US Army in both World War II and the Korean War, proudly serving in the European, African, and Middle East Theatres. He also received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He liked to travel, and would pick up and go to work in different states, but he would always come back home to WV.
The family extends a special thanks to Peoples Hospice and the Heritage for the great care given to Wayne.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 5 – 8 pm on Thursday, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010, with Pastor Chad Hutson presiding. Interment will follow in WV National Cemetery, Pruntytown.
