Back Send condolences to the Allen Family
Oleta Allen, 53, of Rt. 4, Clarksburg, Chieftan Hill, passed away Friday evening, June 18, 2010, following a brief illness. She was born in Clarksburg on March 26, 1957, a daughter of the late Andrew Milton and Margaret Jane Cox Allen.
She is survived by her son, Harold James Watson, Jr., Clarksburg; and a daughter, Tonquilla A. Watson, Grafton; and her grandson, Robert Duane “Little Man” Talkington, II. Six brothers, Sonny Allen and his wife Terry Sue, Anmoore; Ronnie Allen, Clarksburg; Tommy Allen and his wife Nora, Baltimore, MD; Chuckie Allen and his wife Janie, Salem; Orval Allen, Wilsonburg; and David Allen and his wife Nora Lee, Clarksburg; three sisters, Sandra Siders, Wilsonburg; Dolly Wine, Beckley; and Janie Allen, Reynoldsville; and she was a very special aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Savannah Marie Pearl Garrett and Joshua Lee Garrett, II; a brother, Stanley Allen; and four sisters, Ida Mae Allen; Mary Postelwait; Edna Black; and Elizabeth Nicholson.
Oleta was a member of Reynoldsville Baptist Church. She loved to sing, crochet and spending time with her “Little Man.” She was a former member of the Clarksburg Moose.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Monday, June 21, 2010, from 10 a.m. – 12 Noon, where services will be held at 12 Noon with Pastor Jon Hayes presiding. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery.
