Carl Edward Duncan, 75, of Jane Lew, passed away Thursday evening, February 11, 2010 at the Heartland of Clarksburg.  He was born November 2, 1934 in Harrison County, the only child of the late Jack and Freda Wolfe Duncan. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Spring Duncan, who passed away on August 1, 2001. 

He is survived by three sons, Mark E. Duncan and Michael Duncan both of Clarksburg, and John Paul Duncan of Cleveland, OH; a daughter Susan Righter and her husband William of Saltwell; eight grandchildren, Aaron M. Duncan, Robert E. Duncan, Shaun M. Duncan, Heather D. Duncan and Matthew S. Duncan all of Clarksburg, Tiffany Westmiller of New York, Donielle Duncan of Bridgeport, Daniel J. Duncan, Jane Lew; and several great-grandchildren. 

Carl retired from Anchor-Hocking with more than 30 years of service as a relief operator until the plants closing.  He was Methodist by faith and a member of Mended Hearts of Morgantown Chapter #209 and Clarksburg Eagles # 2353.

Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Sunday from 2 – 8 pm, where services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 1 p.m. with Reverend JR Dean presiding.  Entombment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Quiet Dell.
