Back Send condolences to the Wageman Family

Albert Joseph Wageman, Sr., 80, of Bridgeport, departed this life on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at United Hospital following a brief illness. He was born November 9, 1929 in Glendale, OH a son of the late Cornelius F. Wageman and Hazel M. Eiler Wageman.
He is survived by four sons, Albert J. Wageman, Jr., and his wife Laverene of Huntington; Duane W. Wageman and his wife Patti of Butler, KY; Matthew L. Wageman and his wife Lisa of Lost Creek; Darrell M. Wageman and his wife Jesse of Meadowbrook; one daughter, Melinda M. Shields and her husband Dellot of Bridgeport; Marlene A. Stout, the mother of his five children and wife of 32 years; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; three sisters, Margaret and her husband Dr. Harry Konerman of Cincinnati, OH; Patricia and her husband John Wilting of Hilton Head, SC; and Mary Lee Wageman of Cincinnati, OH; twin brother John and his wife Donna Wageman of Hurricane, WV.
Mr. Wageman worked many years as a Tool and Dye Maker and became a Quality Control Inspector for projects including the Space Shuttle and B1 Bomber. After his career he worked for the Cardinal Pharmaceutical where he retired in 1992.
He was an avid sportsman. He loved baseball, basketball, and football, especially when it came to his children and grandchildren. He loved to talk about sports and politics with his many friends and family.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Tuesday from 2:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11:00 am with Reverend Tim Sandy presiding. Interment will be in Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport.
