Back Send condolences to the Daniel Seese Family
Daniel Carl “Boone” Seese, age 60, of Flemington, passed away January 26, 2010 at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center. He was born October 10, 1949 in Rosemont, a son of the late Denzil Seese and Elva Etta Jackson Seese.
He is survived by a daughter, Angela Smallwood and her husband Russell; and a son, Timmy Seese both of Flemington; four grandchildren, Kelsie and Karlie Smallwood and Kiera and Timmy Seese, Jr. Also surviving are three sisters, Audrey Blake and her husband Raymond, Berkley Springs; Mabel Davis and her husband Bob, Catawba, GA; and Shirley Hayes and her husband Ed, Painsville, OH; two brothers, William Seese and his wife Connie, Madison, OH; and Robert Seese and his wife Brenda, Bridgeport; his former spouse, Nancy Seese; a brother-in-law, Weldon McCaulley, Perry, OH; a sister-in-law, Mary Seese, Grafton; and several nieces and nephews complete his family
In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by four sisters, Bertha “Toots” Seese; Baby Seese; Agnes Seese; and Thelma “Sis” McCaulley; and two brothers, Denzil Seese, Jr. and James E. Seese.
Daniel served his country during the Vietnam War as a United States Marine with the rank of Lance Corporal. He retired from AGC Industries, formerly Fourco Glass, and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. He loved trout fishing and was a Steelers and WVU Mountaineer fan. He was Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport from 2 to 8 pm Friday. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am Saturday, January 30, 2010 with Reverend Thomas P. Horne. Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery in Flemington, with military funeral rites being accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard.
