Back Send condolences to the Loy Family
Darrell R. Loy, 76, of Quiet Dell passed away on Tuesday January 12, 2010 at Louis A. Johnson VA Hospital. He was born May 15, 1933 in Brown, a son of the late Ralph Loy and Sarah Robinson Loy.
He is survived by his wife Mary “Lois” Hannah Loy whom he married on August 9, 1952.
In addition to his wife he is also survived by one son, Ron Phillip Loy and his wife Kimberly of Fairfield, VA; two grandchildren, Brandi Lynn Loy and Bryan Eugene Loy both of Fairfield, VA; two sisters, Dorothy Loy and Deloris Loy both of Smyrna DE.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Earnest and a brother, John Loy.
Mr. Loy was a graduate of Victory High School and also was a Veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He was a self-employed building contractor and a member of the Quiet Dell United Methodist Church. He liked to hunt and he and his wife Lois loved to camp, especially at the Ashley Campground. He enjoyed life and liked to joke and have a good time.
Family and friends may be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Friday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday January 16, 2010 at 11 am with Reverend George Bramble presiding. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Quiet Dell, where Military Funeral Honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and the WV Military Honor Guard from Camp Dawson, Kingwood.

To The Family of Darrell Loy, Our deepest sympathy to all of your family. Darrell was a contractor for us about 15 years ago. He was always professional . His work showed fine craftsmanship.
