Back Send condolences to the Quickle Family
Yvonne Myrtle Quickle, 73, of
Pennsylvania Avenue, Nutter Fort, passed away Tuesday morning, December 29,
2009, at her residence under the care of her family and People's Hospice. She
was born in Clarksburg on July 1, 1936, the daughter of the late Earie and
Sylvia Hashman Griffith.
She is survived by five children, David L.
Quickle, II, of Cumming, GA; Rick Quickle; Jeff Quickle; Yvonne Viglianco, all
of Clarksburg; and Ronda Quickle, Plymouth, Wisconsin; very special grandson,
Jason Quickle, 17 additional grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Four
brothers, Earie "Bud" Griffith, Gary Griffith, Larry Griffith, and Mike
Griffith; her uncle, Raymond Griffith, all of Clarksburg; and several nieces and
nephews complete her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by a brother in infancy, Hezie Griffith
Yvonne attended Victory High School. She loved
music and travel. She devoted her life to helping others and never knew a
stranger. She treated every child as her own with unconditional love.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral
Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Tuesday from 11am -1 pm, where a
celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm with Pastor Bill Stutler
presiding. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery.
