June Rapp, 79, of North View, Clarksburg, passed away Monday morning, November 16, 2009, at her residence following a brief illness.  She was born in Fairmont on August 29, 1930, a daughter of the late Victor and Alice Toothman Arnett. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Rapp, on May 28, 2003. 

She is survived by three children, John V. Rapp and his wife Linda, Boothsville; Joy Wagner, North View; and Jay Rapp and his wife Charlene, O’Fallon, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Chad, Kipper, Josh, Tolley, Ryan, Jeremy, Ben and Kara; and three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Cassidy and Olivia. A brother, Don Arnett and his wife Judy, Belleview; three sisters, Dora Jean Arnett, Rivesville; JoAnn Spatafore, Rivesville; and Shirley Fetty and her husband Bob, Fairmont; and several nieces and nephews complete her family. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Luther Arnett, Jr. 

June enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and making a home for her friends and family.  She was Presbyterian. 

Memorial contributions may be made in June’s honor to the American Cancer Society, 122 S. High Street, Morgantown, WV  26501. 

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2009, at 11 am with Reverend Robin Ray presiding.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
