Back Send condolences to the Lancaster Family

Dorothy Jean Lancaster, 78, of Clarksburg, passed away Thursday evening, November 12, 2009, at the United Hospital Center. She was born in Shinnston on June 28, 1931, a daughter of the late Raymond and Flossie M. Williams Nay.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert M. Lancaster, on July 15, 1982.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary K. Lancaster, Clarksburg; and her grandson, Ryan Hardman, Clarksburg, who was her pride and joy.
Five brothers, Charles G. Nay and his wife Shirley, Wilsonburg; Donald L. Nay and his wife Shara, Clarksburg; George H. Nay, Clarksburg; Ray Nay and his wife Shirley, Payson, AZ; Steve Nay and his wife Sandy, Clarksburg; four sisters, Ella M. Calvert, Wilsonburg; Lucille M. Baker and her husband, David, Clarksburg; Virginia M. Jenkins and Robert Griffith, Clarksburg; and Barbara J. Whitehair, Clarksburg; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews complete her family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Betty J. Nay and a brother-in-law, Joseph Calvert.
Dorothy loved to collect dolls, and she volunteered in activities that assisted with the elderly. She was Baptist and had attended Horizons Church.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Sunday from 2 – 8 pm, where services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009, at 11 am with Reverend David Baker, her brother-in-law, presiding. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery.
