Back Send condolences to the Allen family
Harvey “Butch” Allen, 59, of Nutter Fort passed away on Wednesday September 2, 2009 at his residence. He was born April 27, 1950 in Clarksburg a son of the late Luther Ray Allen, Sr. and Margaret Starkey Allen.
He is survived by one brother Luther “Sonny” Allen and his wife Donna of Stonewood and one sister Margaret Williams and her husband Bill of Nutter Fort; several nieces and nephews; several cousins and one special friend of the family, Dot Mills.
Butch attended RW High School and he was a veteran of the United States Army where he worked as a machinist. During that time he was stationed in Germany, Maryland and Arizona.
He enjoyed bowling and helping out the members of his family.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport, from 2 -4 and 6 - 8 pm Friday, where services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 5, 2009 with Reverend Don Fowler presiding. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
