Back Send condolences to the Grandinetti Family
Philipina “Phyllis” Grandinetti, age 85, of Anmoore passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at her residence. She was born August 31, 1923 in Anmoore, a daughter of the late Carmine Grandinetti and Mary Ligammari Grandinetti.
She is survived by three brothers Rudy Grandinetti and his wife Susie of Clarksburg, Ernest Grandinetti and his wife Joyce of Bridgeport, and Sam Grandinetti and his wife Millie of Bridgeport; one sister Josephine Elliott of Anmoore; nieces and nephews Mary Margaret Shaffer, Carmin D. Grandinetti and his wife Claudia, Philip J. Grandinetti, Paul J. Grandinetti and his wife Amy, and Cheryl Grandinetti; great-nieces and great nephews Michael Shaffer and his wife Tonya, Tricia Brown and her husband Vince, Eric Shaffer, Joseph Elliott, Julie Elliott, Sheila Elliott, Tai Grandinetti, Laurel Grandinetti, Mary Grandinetti, Anna Grandinetti, Nicole Grandinetti, Gabriel Grandinetti, Sidney Brown, Gage Brown and McKenzy Brown, Katie Moore, Tia Moore and Brooke Shaffer.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Loretta Grandinetti, a brother-in-law Charles Elliott, and a nephew Charles Elliott, Jr.
Phyllis was the owner and manager of Phyllis’ Restaurant across from the Union Carbide in Anmoore and also worked for the Stonewall Jackson News Stand. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and belonged to the Altar Society.
She liked to travel, loved people and never knew a stranger. She was known for being a good cook and loved to bake.
Friends will be received at All Saints Catholic Church, 317 E. Main St., Bridgeport from 2 to 8 pm, Friday. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 pm Friday evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 25, 2009 at All Saints Catholic Church with Reverend Harry N. Cramer as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
