Charles Edison “Doc” Hall, 75, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at his home Friday evening, April 24, 2009, surrounded by his family.  He was born on January 4, 1934, in Boothesville, a son of the late Charles Dennis and Velma Core Hall.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Conrad Hall, on February 18, 1978.

He is survived by three children, Mark E. Hall and his wife Wendy, Houston, TX; Dennis B. Hall and his wife Billie, Bristol; and Melinda J. Nicholson, Houston, TX; eight grandchildren, Melissa A. Hall, North Carolina; Victoria C. Hall, Houston, TX; Charlie J. Hall and his wife Tiffany, Salt Lake City, UT and currently stationed in Korea; Tess Hall, Charleston, WV; D. Michael Knotts, Bridgeport; Jamie Bowen, Bristol; Emily Bowen, Bristol; and Jimmy Goff, serving with the US Army; and two great-grandchildren, Carson Peterson, Salt Lake City; and Addison Paige Knotts, Bridgeport.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Edward Hall, a sister, Lila Lee Hall DeMarco, and a great-niece, Katy DeMarco.

Doc was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, Class of 1951.  He was the second generation owner and operator of Halls Motors Inc, Bridgeport, and attended countless hours of training through Massey-Ferguson.  He was a member of Late Lodge #63, AF & AM, where he was a Past Worshipful Master, and was a member of the Scottish Rite and Nemesis Shrine.  He loved the outdoors.

 Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, where services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at 1 pm with Reverend Thomas P. Horne presiding.  Interment will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.
