Back Send condolences to the Bush Family
Mary Wilda Bush, 82, of Blackwell Street, Bridgeport, died Tuesday evening, March 3, 2009, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born June 19, 1926, in Cox’s Mills, Gilmer County, a daughter of the late Hayward Murus and Roena Gae Maxson Somerville.
She is survived by her husband Darrell Bush, whom she married September 7, 1946. They celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Also surviving are four sons, Michael Bush and his wife Norenne, Buffalo Lake; Ronnie Bush and his wife Beverly; Richard Bush and his wife Connie; and Jeff “JT” Bush and his wife Joi, all of Bridgeport; a daughter, Sharlene Muscar and her husband Fred, Bridgeport; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Three brothers, Ronzel Somerville and his wife Mable, Bridgeport; Rodney Somerville and his wife Brenda, Cox’s Mills; Larry Duley and his wife Ann, Lancaster, OH; a sister-in-law, Maisie Somerville, Linn, WV; and several nieces and nephews complete the family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kline Somerville, and a sister, Ruby Somervill.
Mary loved spending time with her family. She was proud to be a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was Methodist by faith.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Barcinas and her caregivers, Mary Lipscomp, Lorenna Freeland, Vivian Cook, and Carol Capicola.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 2 – 8 pm on Thursday, where services will be held at 10 am on Friday morning, March 6, 2009, with Reverend Thomas P. Horne presiding. Interment will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.
