Thomas Moon
Thomas Moon, 65, of Quiet Dell, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 4, 2008, in the United Hospital Center. He was born in Clarksburg on May 20, 1943, a son of the late Blanche Irene Moon.
He is survived by three daughters, Stacey McCulloch and her husband Jay, Salesville, OH; Summer Moon, Quiet Dell; and Stephanie Moon-Reel and her husband John II, Quiet Dell; four grandsons, Dylan Tucker, Ty McCulloch, Jesse Goff and Caleb Goff; three brothers, Paul Bragg, Phoenix, AZ; James Greathouse and his wife Donna, Mt. Lookout, WV; and Leslie Moon, Crawford, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Greathouse.
Tom retired in 2004 from Lang Brothers as a machinist. His love was farming and he enjoyed taking products to and helping out at the Edge of Town Farm Market, Anmoore. He also enjoyed coon hunting, hunting with his beagles, and at one time he was a farrier, shoeing horses.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Sunday from 5 – 8 pm, where services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2008, at 11 am with Pastor Bill Coffindaffer presiding. Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
