Esta Mae Miller Chenoweth
Esta Mae Miller Chenoweth, 82, of Berryville, VA, and formerly of Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday evening, November 19, 2008. She was born in Rosedale, Braxton County, on March 8, 1926, a daughter of the late William B. and Myrtle Maude Young Miller.
On October 27, 1950, she married Herbert Chenoweth, who preceded her in death on December 19, 1998.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Cheryl Jean Thorne, Belington; Brenda Sue Lambert, Berryville, VA; and Sandy Kay Chenoweth, Winchester, VA; 5 grandchildren, Brian J. Thorne, Philadelphia, PA; Tiffany M. Robbins, Covington, LA; Dustin M. Thorne, Belington; and James J. Lambert and George Herbert Lambert, both of Berryville, VA; 3 great-grandchildren, Nathan Thorne and Braden Thorne, Philadelphia, PA; and Madison E. Lambert, Berryville, VA. A brother, James E. Miller, Rosedale; two sisters, Molly M. Costlow, Clarksburg; and R. Gladys McCumbers, Rosedale, and several nieces and nephews complete her family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Haley Brady; and two brothers, Lewis Miller and Harold Miller.
Esta was a member of Duff Street United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker.
Friends may call at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Friday evening from 6 – 8 pm, where services will be held on Saturday morning, November 22, 2008, at 11 am with Reverend Brian Seders presiding. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery.
