Betty Lee Ashcraft
Betty Lee Ashcraft, 78, of Rose Avenue, North View, passed away Tuesday morning, August 12, 2008, following a brief illness. She was born in Clarksburg on October 24, 1929, a daughter of the late Columbus and Winifred Corley Graves.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer W. Ashcraft, in 1993.
She is survived by her son, Rickey Ashcraft and his wife Linda, North View; and her daughter, Cheryl Goodwin and her husband Bill, Stealey; eight grandchildren, Rachel, Joshua, Caleb, Michael, Justin, Jessica, Jacob, and Jane; a great-granddaughter, Eden; a sister, Janet Toothman, Clarksburg, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Dian Ashcraft and Judith Hayes; three sons, Kenton, Chris, and David Ashcraft; a sister, Helen, and six brothers, Willard, Clifford, Eugene, Thurman, Denver and Carl.
Betty loved her children and grandchildren. She was a graduate of R-W High School and managed the Ashcraft Mobil Home Park for several years.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday, where services will be held on Friday at 1 pm with Reverend George Mesto presiding. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery.
