Mary Kovar Stutler
Mary Kovar Stutler, 87, of the Glen Falls community, departed her life July 9, 2008 at her residence. She was born on April 6, 1921, in Keysport, PA, a daughter of the late Mary and Frank Kovar Sr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jarrett Stutler, Sr. in June 1950.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary “Sis” Riley of Glen Falls; her son, Jarrett “Buck” Stutler and his wife Deloris of Brushy Fork Road, Bridgeport; two sisters, Katherine Shaffer of Texas; and Julia Simon and her husband Andy of Little Hocking, OH; three brothers, John Kovar of Jarvisville; Steve Kovar and his wife Jean of Glen Falls; and Felix Kovar of Glen Falls; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded by her son-in-law George Riley, her sister Sophia Cochran, two brothers, Frank Kovar Jr. and Tom Kovar; and a great-grandson, Calvin Boram.
Mary had previously worked at the Waldo Hotel as a housemaid for 12 years. She was Catholic by faith. She will be extremely missed by family and friends who loved her dearly.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport on Friday, July 11, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 pm with Reverend Robert H. Wilson presiding. Interment will follow at the Griffith Cemetery in Glen Falls.
