Robert L. Powell
Robert L. Powell, 55, of Camden Street, Clarksburg, passed away Wednesday morning, May 28, 2008, at United Hospital Center. He was born in Clarksburg on January 20, 1953, a son of Juanita Haught Powell, who survives in Clarksburg, and the late Robert M. Powell.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Tracy Wheeler, Clarksburg; 2 nieces, Leslie Starr and her husband Greg, West Milford; and Jerree Stout and her husband J.D., Lost Creek; and 3 great-nephews, Andrew Lipscomb, Matthew Swafford, and Dustin Stout.
Bobby had attended the South Chestnut Street United Methodist Church. He enjoyed music and working in the yard.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Friday evening from 5 – 8 pm, where services will be held on Saturday morning at 11 am with Reverend Jeff Winter presiding. Entombment will follow in the Everlasting Life Mausoleum, Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
