Woodrow W. Stout
Woodrow W. Stout, 94, of Lost Creek, passed away Wednesday morning, May 21, 2008. He was born in Barbour County on October 7, 1913, a son of the late William Thomas and Daisy Sigley Stout.
His wife, Dottie Stewart Stout, whom he married January 6, 1934, preceded him in death on January 5, 1982.
He is survived by one son, Lowell “Tom” Stout and his wife Linda, Lost Creek; and one daughter, Judith Hosaflook and her husband Alfred, Warren, OH; 10 grandchildren, Michael Stout, Mt. Clare; Stephen Stout, Bridgeport; Scott Stout, Stealey; Brian Stout, Texas; Stephanie McInturff, Bridgeport; Lowell “Tommy” Stout, II, West Milford; Kimberly Weber, Champion, OH; Shelly Bergeron, Spring, TX; Leigh Ann Whetzel, Cortland, OH; and Alan Hosaflook, Aurora, OH. Sixteen great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson; two brothers, Benwood Stout, Dunbar; Woodbridge Stout, Grafton; a sister, Pauline Dennison, Litchfield, AZ, and several nieces and nephews complete the family.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mwood Stout and Elwood Stout, and two sisters, Virginia Stout and Thelma Adkins.
Woodrow’s first love was farming. He was also coal miner with Clinchfield Coal working in the tipple, and he also worked for the Dept of Highways in the bridge department. He was a Protestant.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Thursday from 4 – 8 pm, where services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008, at 11 am with Reverend George V. Bramble presiding. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Philippi.
