Eugenia E. Bryan
Eugenia E. Bryan, 88, of Clarksburg, passed away Saturday evening, May 10, 2008, in the Heritage. She was born in Clarksburg on February 11, 1920, a daughter of the late Maroon and Mary C. Hikel Habeb.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip “Pudge” Bryan, on February 1, 1989.
She is survived by her son, Philip L. Bryan and his wife Susan, Catonsville, MD; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Wulderk and her husband Zachery, Tulsa, OK; a sister, Grace Harding, Aliquippa, PA,; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Mary Joseph; Ida Hikel; Rose Ayoob; Edna Nutter; and Sophia Coberly; and two brothers, Thomas and Woodrow “Shine” Habeb.
Eugenia was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, and a member of the former St. Toby’s Society. She was a sports enthusiast, and especially enjoyed being with her husband Pudge when he was coaching local baseball teams.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Wednesday, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, where the Vigil Service will be held at 3:30 pm Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Thursday morning at 10 am with Rev. Casey Mahone as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
