Jaunita P. Cole
Jaunita P. Cole, 73, of Anmoore, passed away Sunday evening, March 9, 2008, at her residence. She was born in Glen Falls on June 23, 1934, a daughter of the late Opal and Mary Sylvia McNemar Byrd.
She is survived by her husband with whom she shared 51 years together, Dorsey W. Cole.
Also surviving are her children, Mary Roth and her husband David, Anmoore; Eddie Farnsworth and his wife Donna, Clarksburg; Brenda Parsons and her husband James, Dunbar; Linda Stalnaker and her husband Tim, Clarksburg; Danny Farnsworth and his wife Debra, Quiet Dell; and Dorsey Farnsworth and his wife Estella, Stonewood; 15 grandchildren, including Sylvia Richards and her husband Jason, Quiet Dell, whom she raised as a daughter; and 15 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Georgeann Hines and her husband Shumie, Bridgeport; and Judy Fogg and her husband John, Anmoore; a brother, Gary Byrd and his wife Frances, East View; and several nieces and nephews complete the family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Dale and James Byrd; and 3 sisters, Loretta Byrd, Shirley Campbell; and Patricia Swiger.
Jaunita loved to play bingo, travel, planting flowers, and having company, as she never met a stranger.
Friends may call at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, where services will be held on Wednesday at 1 pm with Pastor Harley Jeffries presiding. Interment will follow in Stonewall Park Cemetery.
