B.G. Bolton
B.G. Bolton, age 60, of Rosemont passed away January 22, 2008, at Fairmont General Hospital after an extended illness. He was born March 13, 1947 in Rosemont, a son of the late Brennis Harold Bolton and Emma Humphrey Bolton.
B. G. is survived by one daughter, Deborah Carpenter of Shinnston and one son, Robert Bolton and his wife Deborah of Shinnston. His combined family includes four step-daughters, Melissa Weekley and her husband Bobby of Nutter Fort, Michelle Thompson and her husband Pat of Clarksburg, Marcie Colon and her husband Jessie of Clarksburg, and Molly Wolford and her husband Shane of Clarksburg. He also has three granddaughters, Danica Carpenter, Larissa Weekley , and Sophia Colon and one grandson, Xavier Thompson.
Also surviving are one brother, Joseph Bolton of Rosemont; one sister, Janice Campbell of Florida; and his former wives, Sue Lanham of Shinnston and Tammy Bolton of Clarksburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest and Robert Bolton, and one sister, Pauline Galford.
B. G. was a graduate of Flemington High School, Class of 1965. He worked at Harrison Conveyer as a laborer for 23 years until it closed. For the past six years he has worked both at Wal Mart in the Grocery Department as a stocker, and at Philips Lighting as a security guard.
He was a member of Bethel Temple Church in Bridgeport and was an avid sports fan especially football, baseball and boxing.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport from 2:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2008. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home with Dr. Kenneth K. Howe presiding. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rosemont.
