Richard Louis Barnosky
Richard Louis Barnosky, 56, went Home to be with the Lord peacefully from his residence on Hoop Pole Run, Mt. Clare, on Friday afternoon, December 7, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 25, 1951, the eldest son of Louis and Rosalie (Liberati) Barnosky, who survive on Hoop Pole Run.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Catherine (Krosmico) Barnosky, whom he married June 25, 1977.
He is also survived by a brother, Ronald Barnosky and his wife Diana, Hoop Pole Run; a sister, Susan Sutton, Nutter Fort; his best friend and cousin, Clyde Lee Fenton and his wife Patty, Strabane, PA, who continually helped care and support the Barnosky’s during Richard’s illness; a nephew, Joel Barnosky, Morgantown; and a niece, Lauren Krosmico, Bayside, NY.
Richard graduated from Roosevelt-Wilson High School in 1969 and attended Electronic Computer Programming Institute in Charleston. He was employed at his father’s company, B & B Coal, and later created his own company, C & L Trucking in 1978. He also worked part-time for Stone Enterprises.
Richard was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Our Saviour and also enjoyed being in fellowship with all faiths, seeing no boundaries and believing that God governs all. He was a kind, gentle, and compassionate man who enjoyed being outdoors, farming with his brother raising Black Angus cows, or simply enjoying beautiful sunsets and watching nature.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Reverend Mary Ellen Finegan and Reverend George Bramble officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
