E. Beatrice Daft

E. Beatrice Daft, 86, of Maple Lake, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday morning, December 7, 2007, at her residence.  She was born in Berwyn, PA, on December 18, 1920, a daughter of the late Henry and Elsie B. Trout Daft. 

She is survived by two sisters, Sarah D. Stanley, Maple Lake; and Margaret Mae Baxter, Orlando, FL; her nieces and nephews, L.T. Stanley, Jr., and his wife Linda, Philippi; Sally Amsler and her husband Claude, formerly of Salem and now of Kirtland, OH; Wayne Stanley and his wife Coni, Maple Lake; David Stanley and his wife Berna, Moatsville; Barbara Ferguson and her husband Jimmy, Bridgeport; and Gary Stanley and his wife Ranae, Bridgeport; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Larkin “Tip” Stanley,  and a sister, Helen Frances Daft.

 Beatrice earned her Master’s Degree from Westminster Choir College, then went on to earn her teaching degree.  She retired as a third grade teacher with over 28 years of service, last teaching in Daytona Beach.  She was a Maple Lake Club member for the past 26 years, and she will be missed riding her scooter around the lake.  She was a student of the Bible, and enjoyed watching and listening to Christian programs.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Sunday afternoon from 2-6 p.m., where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with Reverend Richard Wilson presiding.  Interment will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.
