Send Condolences to the Adams Family

Mary Jo Adams

Mary Jo Warner Adams, 79, of Orchard Avenue, Bridgeport, departed this life Saturday morning, November 10, 2007, at her residence.  She was born in Clarksburg on August 7, 1928, a daughter of the late Charles and Geraldine Parr Warner.

She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 41 years, William B. “Jack” Adams, and her loving pet and loyal companion, Muffin.

Also surviving are her twin sisters, Phyllis Taylor, Bridgeport; and Patricia Taylor and her companion Frank Lacaria, Bridgeport; and a half-brother, Chuck Warner and his wife Fran, Fairmont.  Aunt Jo will also be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews. 

Mary Jo was a long-time member of the Simpson Creek Baptist Church.  She was employed by Watts Sarter-Leer clothing store in bookkeeping for over 15 years, and several local banks of Clarksburg before became a homemaker.  She was also a member of the YWCA, and she enjoyed traveling. 

Mr. Adams would like to acknowledge the special care given to his wife by caregivers Patty Blankenship, Betty Oldaker, and Sandy Sidwell, and the care given to her by Peoples Hospice.

Friends may call at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Dr. C. Michael Hopkins presiding.  Interment will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.
