Alma Irene “Ann” Linn Williamson, 79, of Linn Hollow, Shinnston, passed away Tuesday morning, September 25, 2007, at her residence. She was born July 22, 1928, at home on Linn Hollow Rd., a daughter of the late Cecil L. and Esta Ann Ferral Linn.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Herbert Ray Williamson, on January 22, 1999. The couple was united in marriage on August 30, 1944.
Survivors include her two sons, Victor Ray Williamson of Nixon Trailer Park, and Carman Williamson of Wallace; four grandchildren, including Victoria Layman of Bridgeport, Lisa Pheasant of Martinsburg, and Angela Williamson of Fairmont; and four great-grandchildren, Tabitha Nichole Layman, Elizabeth Rose Pheasant, Pamela Louise Pheasant and Kevin Thomas Priest.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by five brothers, Norval, Austin, Lewis, Clyde and Samuel Linn; and two sisters, Ruby Cottrill and Wilma Cottrill.
Alma was a homemaker who liked listening to music and baking. She was an animal lover, especially of cats.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 11 a.m. with Reverend Thomas P. Horne presiding. Interment will be in the Linn Family Cemetery, Linn Hollow Rd.
