Bacil Ellis Brown (1928-2007)
Bacil Ellis Brown, 79, of Adams Ave., Clarksburg, passed away early Friday morning, August 24, 2007 at his residence. He was born June 13, 1928 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Percy H. and Dessie O’Brein Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Dottie Mae Barker Brown who he married July 21, 1948; three sons Dennis Ellis Brown and his wife Rita of Adamston, Steven L. Brown of Adamston and Michael R. Brown and his wife Carol of North View; five grandchildren including Nathan C. Brown of Adamston, Matthew S. Brown of Adamston, Buffy Ashcraft and her husband Curtis of Martinsburg; Michael D. Brown of Clarksburg and Jessica Hougue and her husband Scott of East View, and one half-brother, Jerry Brown.
Bacil was a factory worker with more than 40 years of service at Carnation Foods Co. He was a good handyman and could usually be found tinkering with something around his house. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather – always helpful to anyone in need.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport from 4:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday, August 26, 2007. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday in the funeral home with Reverend Etheldean Yanero presiding. Interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery.
