John S. Nichols, 41 of W. Philadelphia Ave., Bridgeport, went home to be with his Lord early Saturday morning, August 4, 2007 at his residence. He was born December 15, 1965 in Canton, OH, a son of the late Sherman Stewart and Ann Marie Crousser Nichols
John is survived by his wife Pam Nichols and his step-son, Andy Lavanchard. Also surviving are his four half-brothers, Fred Kedigh of Tampa, FL, Randy Kedigh of Waynesburg, OH, and Rick Kedigh and Carl “Bud” Kedigh, both of Canton, OH.
Also surviving are his adopted family of 20 years, Rev. Timothy Maxwell and his family.
John had been employed for the last seven years at Wal-Mart Supercenter and had many friends whom he loved to work with. He was a protestant by faith and was a beloved member and Trustee of the Spring Hill Chapel. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday, August 8, 2007. On Thursday, Mr. Nichols will be moved to the Spring Hill Chapel, Rt. 19 S. Past Country Club Chrysler and then left for 1.7 miles on Country Club Rd., where he will lie in state from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Reverend Timothy R. Maxwell will preside the service, and interment will follow in the Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery.
