Wilma Jean McCauley (1926-2007)
Wilma Jean McCauley, 80, formerly of Mary Lou Ave., Clarksburg, passed away Tuesday evening, July 24, 2007, at the residence of her son, Russell, in Colonial Beach, VA following an extended illness. She was born December 10, 1926, in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Russell Hoy and Floda Bell Carder Criss.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Clyde McCauley, on December 4, 1991.
She is survived by two children, Russell C. McCauley and his wife Patricia of Colonial Beach, VA and Susan L. Griffith of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Jennifer M. Griffith and Melissa D. Griffith, both of Clarksburg; Kenneth Paul McCauley, serving in the US Navy in Monterey, CA; and Renee D. McCauley; and her sister-in-law, Betty Criss, Clarksburg.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Criss, and her son-in-law, Timothy C. Griffith.
She was employed for 17 years in the accounting office at Pittsburgh Plate Glass, and assisted her brother Raymond at Ra-Mar Florist for many years. She was Methodist.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday, July 27, 2007. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Good Hope Masonic Cemetery.
