Ruth Ann Price, 54, of Smithfield, passed away early Thursday morning, May 10, 2007, at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg. She was born August 18, 1952 in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of Hazel Root Cook who survives her in Clarksburg, and the late Kenneth Cook.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of nearly 25 years, Wilbert L. “Wibbie” Price, whom she married October 9, 1982.
In addition to her mother and husband, survivors include five children, Roger Lee “Peanut” Edgell and his wife Jennifer of Worthington, Roy Lee Edgell and his wife Delilah Denise of Smithfield, Beth Ann Edgell of Smithfield, WV, John Marlow Edgell and his wife Jessica of East Liverpool, OH, and James Walter Edgell and his wife Kimberly Lynn of Smithfield; four grandchildren, Abigail Edgell, Robert “Bub” Edgell, Johnathon Brady Edgell and Taylor Nicole Edgell; two brothers Marlow Root of Stonewood and Russell Cook of Bridgeport, as well as one sister, Bertha Montgomery of Brownton, WV.
She was a Methodist by faith, and a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister to her family.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, May 11, 2007. Her funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home with Reverend Randy Montgomery presiding. Interment will follow in the Crislip Cemetery, Barbour County.
