Mirella Turchi DeBerry

Mirella Turchi DeBerry, 60, of Brookdale Drive, Monongah, passed away Friday morning, March 16, 2007, in Ruby Memorial Hospital.  She was born on August 5, 1946, in Pisa, Italy, a daughter of the late Sestilio and Alfa Turchi.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Roger D. DeBerry, whom she married November 4, 1967.

Also surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Todd Alonso, Bridgeport; two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy R. and Juanita DeBerry, Fort Bliss, El Paso, TX; and Stacy R. and Paige DeBerry, Chapmanville, WV; and nine grandchildren, Allie and Christian Alonso; Timothy, Jessica, Ty, Daniel, Megan, Charity, and Caleb DeBerry.  Her brother, Giancarlo, and her sister, Giovanna, and two nieces, Christina and Michella, also survive in Italy. 

Mirella’s life revolved around her family, and she thought of everyone else before she thought of herself.  She enjoyed gardening, and was the best cook.  She also enjoyed visiting her family in Italy and was planning a trip in May. She loved her cat Shiela, and liked to go fishing and to yard sales.

Friends may call at the Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport, on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, where services will be held on Tuesday at 1 pm with Reverend Michael Brown presiding.  Interment will follow in WV National Cemetery, Pruntytown.
