Mary Gaile Barr

Mary Gaile Barr, 60, of Oral Lake Road, Bridgeport, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 3, 2007, in Ruby Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Clarksburg on November 7, 1946, the only child of Betty L. Singleton Thompson, who survives in Clarksburg, and the late James W. Thompson.
Also surviving are two sons, James Barr and his wife Melissa, Oral Lake Road; and Jeff Barr, Boca Raton, FL; and her grandson, James Logan Barr; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gaile and Wilsie Singleton; and her paternal grandparents, Homer and Mary Thompson.
Mary Gaile was a graduate of Washington-Irving High School, Class of 1964, and WV Wesleyan College. She was a homemaker and Methodist.
Friends may call at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Monday evening from 5-8 pm. Visitation will continue at the Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, on Tuesday from 10 am – 12 Noon, where services will be held at 12 Noon with Pastor Richard Demastus presiding. Interment will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery.
