David Lynn Rogers, 25, of Rt. 2, Shinnston, Nixon Trailer Park, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening, January 16, 2007, at his residence. He was born October 25, 1981, in Clarksburg, a son of Nancy Wickenhofer Lewis with whom he made his home, and Steven Rogers of Texas.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Christopher Rogers, also at home; his paternal grandmother, Ilo Rogers of Clarksburg; and several aunts and uncles including Carol Lynch and her husband Bill of Greenville, SC; John Wickenhofer and his wife Moira of Maryland; Darrell Wickenhofer and his wife Nancy of Bridgeport; Richard Stallman and his wife Jamie of Bridgeport; Violet Riley of Clarksburg; and Betty Farrell of Florida; and a cousin, Cindy Welsh of Valdosta, GA.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond Stallman, Dorothy Stallman and John Wickenhofer.
David attended Bridgeport High School. He enjoyed playing basketball, skateboarding, swimming, and Karate.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 21, 2007. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1:00 PM with Reverend Thomas P. Horne presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Quiet Dell.
