Send Condolences to the Erickson Family

Angels came and carried away Connie Erickson, 91, of 130 E. Philadelphia Ave., Bridgeport, on Monday evening, January 15, 2007. She passed on in the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg from complications of congestive heart failure. She was born February 24, 1915 in Spain, a daughter of the late Rafael and Angela Morales Rodriguez.

Surviving are one local daughter and son-in-law Jannete Losh and her husband Steven of Bridgeport; two sons Pete Vadell and his wife Esther of Puerto Rico and Adam Vadell of New Jersey; one brother Reuben Rodriguez of Puerto Rico; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Erickson, in 1982; and three brothers, Rafael, Raul and Radames Rodriguez.

She attended Trinity United Methodist Church on Brushy Fork Road in Bridgeport and was a member of the Trinity CEOS and the Red Hat Society. She was a loving mother who was very dedicated to her family. Connie dearly loved music and dancing, and all who knew her will miss her upbeat, fun loving and enthusiastic attitude.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport, from 2:00 – 5:00 & 7:00 9:00 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2007. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday in the funeral home with Reverend Larry Crawford presiding. Interment will follow in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.
