Pauline Schmidt Brown Send Condolences to the Brown Family
Pauline Schmidt Brown, 69, of Rt. 1, Salem, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, June 5, 2006, in Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born August 2, 1936, in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Paul C. and Margaret Roberta (Parsons) Schmidt.
On August 6, 1955, she married William A. Brown, who preceded her in death on June 4, 1993.
She is survived be three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Lola Brown, Salem; John and Cynthia Brown, Gordenville, PA; and Joseph and Tracy Brown, Lancaster, PA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shila and David Doak, Jane Lew; and Marie and Joe Okronley, Stevensville, MD; a sister and brother-in-law, Maggie and Ron Fisher, Duck Creek, West Milford; nine grandchildren, Keith Doak and his wife Kristi; Keisha Doak; Adam Doak; Joey and his wife Jess Okronley; Julie Okronley; Brandie Combs and her husband Wes; Hannah Bland and her husband Mark; Dana Brown; and Wesley Brown; and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Okronley.
For the last 13 years, Pauline was a cook for CWVCA Head Start in Salem. She was a very active member of Horizons Church, enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, anything to do with crafts, and was known as a great cook. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she loved spending time with her family, and was a very giving person who would volunteer her time to help anyone in need.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clarksburg Mission, P.O. Box 1123, Clarksburg, WV 26301.
Friends will be received at the Horizons Church, Lost Creek, on Wednesday from 2-8 pm, where services will be held on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Quint Pitts presiding. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Burnside Funeral Home 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport has been entrusted with the arrangements.
