Mary Elizabeth Brown Faherty, 66, of Delanco, NJ, and formerly of Buckhannon Avenue, Clarksburg, passed away at 10:20 pm Tuesday evening, August 29, 2006, in the United Hospital Center of complications of diabetes and heart disease.

Mary Elizabeth was born August 17, 1940, a daughter of the late Harry St. Clair Brown and Mildred Elizabeth (Braun) Brown.

On November 19, 1966, she married Paul E. Faherty, who survives in Delanco. 

Also surviving are her sister, Joan Boyles, Maple Lake; nephew Patrick Boyles and his wife Connie; niece, Kim Brown Toothman and her husband Justin; and great-nephew, Ryan Boyles; all of Bridgeport. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and his wife, John W. and Wanda Brown; nephew Christopher “Chris” Boyles; and brother-in-law, Bill Boyles.

Mary Elizabeth was a 1958 graduate of Notre Dame High School, whose reunion she had come home to attend.  She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Riverside, NJ.

Before her marriage, she was employed in the advertising department of Stone and Thomas, Clarksburg.

Friends may call at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Thursday from 2-8 pm, where a Vigil Service will be held in the funeral home at 3 pm Thursday.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Stonewood, on Friday at 10 am with Father John S. Ledford as Celebrant.  Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
