Linda Arlene Spatafore, 58, of Hillhaven Dr., Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 22, 2006, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg on August 14, 1947, a daughter of Robert J. Hickman, who survives in Clarksburg, and the late Blanche Brown Hickman.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 40 years William R. Spatafore whom she married December 18, 1965; four children, Samuel Robert Spatafore and his wife, Denise; Julie Dawn Cava and her husband Vincent; William Ray Spatafore, II, and his wife Lori; and Valerie Lynn Lively and her husband Scott, all of Bridgeport; and eight grandchildren, Antonio and Dominic Spatafore; Amelia, Vincenzo, and Gino Cava; Nicolas and Isabella Spatafore; and Grant Lively. Four sisters, Patricia Hamrick and her husband Paul; Donna Lake; Barbara Starkey and husband Larry; and Karen Moyer, all of Clarksburg; and 28 nieces and nephews complete her family.
Linda was a 1965 graduate of Victory High School. She had been a Mary Kay Consultant for 18 years, and a Weight Watchers Leader for 3 years. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, a Past President of the Bridgeport Woman’s Club, and had volunteered in the Harrison County School System. She loved cooking, baking, and photography, but especially spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport from 12:00 Noon – 8:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2006. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 PM Friday evening in the funeral home to conclude visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 317 E. Main St., Bridgeport, on Saturday at 10:00 AM with Reverend Harry N. Cramer and Reverend Hilarian V. Cann as Con-celebrants. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Clarksburg.
