Lee Roy Cogis, 57, of Newfane, NY, died Friday, September 29, 2006, at his residence. He was born in Clarksburg on March 2, 1949, a son of the late Mike and Lucy Virginia (Mayers) Cogis.
He is survived by his 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Larry Hardway, Summit Park; Misty Cogis, Summit Park; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Flossie Cogis, Lost Creek; 5 grandchildren, Lena, Larry II, Karen, Melissa, and Noah; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Honatke, and a step-brother, Larry Cottrill.
Lee Roy was formerly employed by the City of Clarksburg Sanitation Department. He also enjoyed caddying.
Friends may call at the Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Wednesday from 10-12 Noon, where services will be held at 12 Noon with Rev. Harley Jeffries presiding. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, West Milford.
