Send Condolences to the Leemasters Family

James Dorman Leemasters, age 70 of Ohio Ave., Nutter Fort, was called away to his Heavenly Father on Thursday evening, February 9, 2006 at his residence under the care of his loving family following a brief illness. He was born in Mannington, WV on October 29, 1935, a son of the late Norman Leemasters and the late Grace Sharp Leemasters.

Mr. Leemasters is survived by his wife of 49 years Ida Mae Cox Leemasters; one daughter Debra Kay Leemasters of Nutter Fort; one granddaughter Leigh Ann McCloud and her husband James C. McCloud, Jr. of Clarksburg; two brothers Alton Leemasters and his wife Geneva of Shinnston and Bernard Leemasters and his wife Ethel of Charlotte, NC; three sisters Bernadette Sandy and her husband Ellis of Shinnston, Dorothy Sholtz and her husband Norman of West Salem, OH and Rose Tromp of New Carlise, OH as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters Susie Leemasters, Charlene Reed and Betty Lowe; and two brothers Raymond Leemasters and Junior Sharp.

James was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, playing the mandolin and touching the hearts of everyone he met with religious music and spreading the word of God.

He was a member of the Bible Baptist Temple in Stonewood and retired as a machine operator with 36 ½ years of service from Hazel Atlas through Anchor Hocking Glass Companies.

In keeping with Mr. Leemasters’ wishes, a private visitation and funeral service for his immediate family will be held with Pastor Charles V. Madaus presiding. Interment will follow in Stonewall Park Cemetery, Stonewood.

The Leemasters family has entrusted his arrangements to Burnside Funeral Home 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport.
