Send Condolences to the Bissett Family

 

Ida Mae Bissett, age 87, of Bridgeport Manor and Point St. in Clarksburg, passed away Monday evening, June 19, 2006 following an extended illness. She was born June 15, 1919 in Harrison County, a daughter of the late Asbury Carpenter and the late Jennie Elizabeth “Lizzie” Bunner Carpenter.

 

She was preceded in death by her two husbands Dorsey L. Carpenter and William G. Bissett.

 

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law Priscilla “Pudgie” Leuliette and her husband Pete of Mt. Clare; her granddaughter Alisa O’Neil Abadalla and her husband Eric of Charleston, WV; a grandson Bruce Alan Migota of Pennsylvania; her great-granddaughter Audrey Priscilla Abadalla of Charleston, WV; two stepsons Harley Bissett of Connecticut and Kenny Bissett of New York; two step-grandchildren Stevie Bissett and Alison Bissett both of Maryland; one step-great-grandson Isaiah Bissett of Maryland; her step-daughter-in-law Seibert Bissett of Maryland and her son-in-law Richard “Rich” Migota of Pennsylvania.

 

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one daughter Alberta “Bertie” Carpenter Migota; a stepson Roger Bissett; and two brothers Wilbert “Bill” Carpenter and Gilbert “Gib” Carpenter.

 

Mrs. Bissett was employed for many years at both the Compton Bowling Lanes and G.C. Murphy Company. A member of the Red Hat Society, she did excellent embroidery and in her earlier years was a passionate bowler.

 

Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport on Wednesday June 21, 2006 from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 and 4:00 – 8:00 PM, where a funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 1:00 PM with Reverend Don Fowler presiding. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Mt. Clare Rd.
