Send Condolences to the Shuttleworth Family

 

Debra Ann Prieto Shuttleworth, age 52 of the Philippi Pike (Broadway edition), Clarksburg, passed away early Thursday morning, August 10, 2006 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg following an extended illness. She was born October 9, 1953 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Manuel Prieto and the late Mary Gladys Virginia Carpenter Prieto.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Allen Shuttleworth, on October 6, 2003.

 

Survivors include her two children, Michael Anthony Shuttleworth and Brittany Lee Shuttleworth both at home; four sisters, Brenda Waller and her husband Ike of Clarksburg, Vanessa Fisher and her husband David of Lost Creek, Tina Kalar and her husband Dale of Mt. Clare and Kimberly Farnsworth of Clarksburg; and three brothers, Manuel Prieto, Jr. and his wife Dawn, Mark Prieto and John Prieto and his wife Vicki all of Clarksburg. A sister-in-law, Roxanne Shuttleworth of Clarksburg; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; a  cousin whom she was as close to as a sister, Patty Shaw of Clarksburg; and a niece whom she considered more as a granddaughter, Jocelyn Cole, complete her family.

 

Debbie was a member of the Connecting Point Community Church in Clarksburg and the East View Lions Club. She was employed for approximately 25 years as a manager and postal clerk at the Valley Market in East View. 

 

She loved being the outdoors and camping with her family at Wild Cat, near Ireland, WV. She enjoyed bowling and watching her daughter in dance classes. As her illness progressed, she began to spend time on the internet where she would often play games at Pogo.com.

 

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday, August 12, 2006 and from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday, August 13, 2006. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the funeral home with Pastor David L. Marcum presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Quiet Dell.
