Corrine F. Costello Marra, age 77 of Broadway Ave., Bridgeport, passed away Monday afternoon, August 7, 2006 at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg. She was born March 14, 1929 in Galloway, WV a daughter of the late Hubert Costello and the late Ida Garvin Costello.

 

She is survived by her husband, Sammie E. Marra, Sr., whom she married

 

Additionally, she is survived by her six children Debra Scheuvront of Bridgeport, Pamela Marra of Cincinnati, OH; Sammie E. Marra, Jr. of Las, Vegas, Nevada, Barry “Joseph” Marra and his wife Melissa of Florida, Frankie Marra of Philadelphia, PA and Davie Marra and his wife Annette of Cincinnati, OH. Four grandchildren including Billy Lyon of Bridgeport, Kevin Marra of Clarksburg and twin girls Samantha and McKensie Marra of Cincinnati, OH conclude her family.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister, making her the last surviving member of her immediate family.

 

Corrine was employed by Hazel Atlas Glass in Clarksburg as a line worker. She also worked as a waitress at Minard’s Spaghetti Inn of Clarksburg and several other area restaurants.

 

A member of All Saints Catholic Church in Bridgeport, she was avid Bingo player until her illness no longer allowed her to do so. She also enjoyed flower gardening.

 

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who dearly loved her grandchildren and was very active in their lives.

 

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM Thursday, August 10, 2006. A Vigil Service will be held in the funeral home at 7:30 PM Thursday evening in the funeral home to conclude the visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in All Saints Catholic Church, Bridgeport at 3:00 PM Friday with Reverend Harry N. Cramer as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery.
